Leo Hitchcock

Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home, 918-782-4400 Leo Nelson Hitchcock, 90 year old Spavinaw resident, died Sunday, July 13, 2014. Leo was in born Shubert, NE on September 12, 1923 to Leonard and Nadine (Gilliland) Hitchcock. On July 22, 1945 he was united in marriage to Orene Daniel. He enjoyed gardening, tinkering, and taking care of his wife before her passing. Survivors include his children: Joe Hitchcock and wife Kathy of Spavinaw, Hank Hitchcock and wife Carol of Spavinaw, Jill Hitchcock of Phoenix, AZ, Jesse Hitchcock and wife Darlene of Showlow, AZ, Frieda Blassingame and husband Charlie of Farmington, NM, sisters Wilma Huntington of Farmington, NM and Irene Kibble and husband Bob of Fort Scott, KS, 19 grandchildren, and numerous great and great great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home with Pastor Skip McClain officiating. Interment will follow at Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery.
