Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK 918-786-2261 -Lonnie Richard Edwards, 77 year old, Grove, OK, resident passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at his home. Lonnie was born on March 7, 1938, in Chouteau, OK, to Arthur Benton Edwards and Eva (Kelly) Edwards. He was a roofing salesman and owned his own business. For many years, Lonnie served as a second generation pastor at the Pentecostal Church of Locust Grove. He was a member of the Grand Lake Family Fellowship. Lonnie loved nature, feeding birds and was an avid OU fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Edwards and Eva Kelly, and six siblings. Lonnie is survived by his wife Linda of the home; five children, Ronald Gene Edwards and wife Cheryl of Pryor, OK, Kathy Sue Thompson and husband Garland of Little Rock, AR, Cindy L Detlefs of Evergreen, CO, Dan Edwards and husband John Ward of Tulsa, OK, and Becky L England and husband Scott of Pryor, OK; three stepchildren, Brianna Case of Grove, OK, Jake Case and wife Rickie of Grove, OK, and Stevi Case; three sisters, Lillie Simpson of Bernice, OK, Edna Copeland of Locust Grove, OK, and Vida Marquardt of Great Falls, Montana; 6 stepchildren from a previous marriage; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and some great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015, at 4:00 pm at Grand Lake Family Fellowship in Grove, OK. Pastor James Fuller will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, OK.
