Louis Wayne Linville 78, of Nowata, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at his home with his family at his side.
Louis Wayne Linville was born on June 24, 1941 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Woodrow E. Linville and Bessie Thomas. Louis was born and raised in Hominy and went to Hominy Public School. He then later on decided to continue his education at the Tulsa Community Jr. College. He married Judy “Bass” Linville on December 16, 1983 in Nowata, Oklahoma.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nowata, Moose Lodge previously, Nowata Square Dancer, Northeast, and ABC Dance Committee.
Louis was a very hard worker and worked hard all his life. He was a guy of many talents and wasn’t afraid of getting his hands dirty. He was an operator in the oil and gas industry for over 26 years with Duke Energy in Nowata. Louis was always busy doing something whether it was mowing, taking care of livestock, baling hay, he kept the farm up. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, team roping, riding horses, dancing, wood working, being outside and spending time with his family. Louis loved his family unconditionally and always made sure they were well taken care of.
Louis is survived by his wife Judy Linville of the home; four children: Travis Linville of Nowata, OK; Trent Bass and wife Lori of Sherman, TX; Debora Baker and husband Brian of Owasso, OK; Terra Metze and husband Michael of Collinsville, IL; three siblings: Sonny Linville, Jack Linville, Norma Cliff; seven grandchildren, Brittany Baker, Brian Baker, Briley Baker, Bailey Kruse, Brian Linville, Sarah Bass, and Erika Bass. Louis will be missed by all who knew him.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents Woodrow E. Linville and Bessie Thomas Linville; one son Darren Linville; three siblings Dean Linville, Louise McCray and Rosemary Burton.
Funeral Services will be held at Benjamin Funeral Chapel in Nowata, Oklahoma on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Ben Killion officiating.
