Louise Gabriel

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma, 918-786-2261 Sarah "Louise" Gabriel, 92 year old resident of Grove, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Louise was born on April 28, 1925 in Red Starr, Arkansas to Floyd and Ethel (Roberts) Boen. She graduated high school in Decatur, Arkansas. Louise was united in marriage to Hugh Gabriel on June 15, 1946 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Louise earned her Associates Degree from Draughan's Business College and worked in various oil companies and American Airlines until she and her husband bought a farm in the Butler District and moved from their farm in Owasso, OK to Grove, Oklahoma in 1953. She worked as a bookkeeper for Uniongas in Grove, Oklahoma for many years; later owned and operated her own real estate company; and taught at the Vo-Tech. Louise enjoyed visiting and finding a good deal at yard sales, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Louise will be reunited in Heaven with her husband, Hugh, who passed in 1973, Her parents and seven siblings, one grandson, and one great-granddaughter also preceded her in death. Louise leaves here on earth to live out her legacy six daughters: Diane Bannister of Kirkland, WA; Donna Snell of Bernice, OK; Patricia Fields and her husband Wayne of Broken Arrow, OK; Anne and her husband Richard Manicom of Grove, OK; twins Linda Fields of Grove, OK; and Belinda Romane of Grove, OK. Also surviving are a brother, Ira Boen of Grove, OK and a sister, Shirley Bowen of Wichita, KS. She was dearly blessed with fifteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8pm, Friday, January 26, 2018 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove. Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Grove Church of Christ with Bob Kirkley officiating. Louise will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, OK at a later date. Online condolences can be made by viewing Louise's Book of Memories at www.honoringmemories.com.
