Lydia Chaney

Lydia B. Chaney, 89 year old lifetime resident of Craig County, died Monday May 26, 2008 at her home. She was born August 3, 1918 to Everett Emerson "EE" Wright and Minnie Bell (Mills) Wright. Lydia graduated from Cleora High School. Lydia was a witty and loving person who made her family her life. Along with her family Lydia also loved making pies, especially with the apples grown from her own tree. Lydia is preceded in death by her parents, 11 brothers and sisters, her spouse James C. "Bud" Chaney, Jr., grandson Kenny Chaney, and great granddaughter Savanna Paddock. Survivors include sons Carol and wife Carolyn Chaney, Clyde and wife Nancy Chaney, and daughter Wanda and husband Frank Goins, all of Vinita. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends. Pallbearers include Tracy Goins, Darrel Goins, Ronnie Goins, Tim Chaney, Carol Chaney, Jr. and Dakota Helms. The family will receive friends Thursday May 29, 2008 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday May 30, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home with Rev. Henry "Skip" McClain officiating. Internment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Vinita. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
