Lyndsey Nicole Streeter, born October 17, 2001, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Christopher Dee Streeter and Chrystal Alice Green, received her angel wings on August 18, 2017, surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by her parents; her "Papa" J. D. Streeter; brother Christopher "Bubber" Streeter and wife, Debra; "Uncle T" Tommy Butcher and "Aunt Pooh" Paula K. Butcher; Aunt Misty Sprague, Uncle Kyle Sprague and Tyla; niece Natalie Streeter; and cousins Adam, Ian, Mahkenzie, Draven, Ruger, Ashlynn, Bryan and Casey, all of Vinita. Lyndsey was preceded in death by her "Nana" Linda Streeter; "Pa" Earl Sprague and "Mimi" Sheri Sprague; Great-Grandma "Nanny" Alice Herbert and "Poppa" Herb Herbert. Lyndsey attended Vinita High School, where she was a sophomore to be. She was a member of the Cherokee Nation, Vinita FFA and Vinita Hornet Special Forces. She was an active participant in Special Olympics receiving numerous medals and awards, including being named the 2013 Oklahoma Athlete of the Year and the honor of carrying the torch and lighting the flame at the Opening Ceremony for the Summer Games. Lyndsey opened Echo's Ice Shack with her Aunt Pooh in May 2017. She was a travel enthusiast, visiting 26 of 50 states with her Momma; thrill seeker; and Disney fanatic. She loved flying in planes, jeepin', and riding with Daddy on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Lyndsey loved attending boxing matches and was Trey Lippe-Morrison's undisputed #1 fan. She always looked forward to wearing her special Trey fight night t-shirts, and Trey's hug before every fight. Lyndsey will be missed by her family, classmates, friends, fans, and by her very special Best Buddy, Blaine Martin. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. The life celebration service will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Vinita, with Pastor Robert Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com. Arrangements are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lyndsey Streeter Memorial Scholarship Fund at First National Bank, Vinita.
