Martha Haggard

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK....918-786-2261....Martha "Jean" Haggard, passed away at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, MO on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the age of 89. Jean was born on January 16, 1925 in Terre Haute, IN and attended school there. She married L.J. Haggard in the early 1940's. The couple moved to California until moving to Oklahoma City in the 1950's. They resided in Oklahoma City and Kansas City during L.J's working career while Jean took care of the home. The couple retired in the Grand Lake area in the 1980's. Jean was active in the First Christian Church in Grove and enjoyed gardening. She was known for being a loving wife and mother. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, and one sister. She is survived by her son Jay Haggard of Summerland Key, FL; five grandchildren: Drew of Ramrod Key, FL, Stephanie of Pace, FL, Jennifer of Grenada, West Indies, Tracy of Cincinnati, OH, and Kristen of Indianapolis, IN; numerous great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at Miner's Cemetery in McCurtain, OK on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 2PM with Mr. Doug Rainbolt, presiding. The family will greet friends on Monday, January 12, 2015 from 9AM to 10:30AM at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK.
