Martha Lawson

Martha Christine (McDonough) Lawson, age 80 of Vinita died Friday, July 15, 2011. Christine was born in Vinita on October 18, 1930, the daughter of Alva William and Elvina Marie (Nelson) McDonough. In 1948 she graduated from Vinita High School. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Lawson on June 28, 1949. For years she ran Christine's Antique Mall. She was also a member of the Vinita Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed family dinners, attending country and gospel music shows, growing flowers, and playing cards and dominos. Survivors include her husband Lloyd Lawson of Vinita, son Ronnie Lawson of Vinita, brother Jimmy McDonough of Vinita, sisters Mary Lou Seaton of White Oak, and Carol Harrington of Vinita. She was preceded in death by her parents Alva William and Elvina Marie McDonough, and brothers: Willie McDonough, Alva Eugene McDonough, and William Eugene McDonough. Funeral services will be 3p.m., Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Stevens officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
