Mary Allensworth

Mary Elizabeth Allensworth, age 94 of Vinita, died Monday, January 10, 2011. Mary was born in Morrison, Oklahoma on October 18, 1916, the daughter of George and Cynthia (Bell) Ramsey. On September 11, 1936 she was united in marriage to Willis "Bud" Allensworth and together they raised one daughter. Mary could be described in such words as independent, honest, spunky, and loving. She enjoyed walking, dancing with her brothers, and playing piano and guitar. She was a very active member of the Vinita First Christian Church. Survivors include her grandchildren: Chris Clark and wife Mary of Prineville, Oregon, James Clark of Paradise, California, Pamela Brewton and husband Lon of San Jose, California, and Cyndi Sloan and husband Earle of Fair Oaks, California, seven great grandchildren Kristyn Brewton, Brandon Clark, Ashley Clark, Mason Sloan, Sierra Sloan, Dillon Clark, and Anthony Clark, one great-great grandchild Jason Clark, and one sister Dean Bennington of Vinita. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Willis of 54 years, daughter Evelyn Willlene Clark, and brothers Fred Ramsey, Buck Ramsey, John Ramsey and Earl Ramsey. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Luginbuel Chapel with Pastor George Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
