Mary Elizabeth Elms passed away on January 20, 2014. It was her 90th birthday. Mary sold real estate in the Grand Lake are for many years, eventually retiring due to health issues. She was known for her independent; say it like it is nature. Mary's children grandchildren, special great grandchildren were the most important part of her life, along with many very special friends, Elvis, Betty Boop, Maxine, and her car. Survivors include children: Chris Elms and wife Jo, Virginia "Jeni" Elms Young and husband John, Teddy Sue Elms Fritschie and husband Billy, daughter-in-law Danette Stewart-Elms, 8 grandchildren: Bridget Elms Hampton and husband David, Betsy Elms Haven and husband Mark, Anthony Elms, Sara Elms Rogers and husband Jackie, Seth Fritschie, Leslie Elms Nair and husband Jonathan, Diana Young Hampton, Deborah Young Greene and husband Jarrod, 7 great grandchildren: Zackary Fritschie, Riley Dunn, Caitlynn White, Mary Jane Fritschie, Jenna Rogers, Heather Massey, and Colton Brewer, and brothers Gerald Porter and Frank Porter. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Virginia (Catledge) Porter, son Leslie Porter Elms, brothers: Charles Porter, Lamar Porter, and James Porter, and sister Martha Nell Donohue Porter. Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, PO Box 841125, Dallas, TX 75284-1125 Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2013, at the Ketchum Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Busch officiating.
