Mary Mae Welch-Jennings was called home by her Lord on November 11, 2022, she was born to Luther Jennings Sr. and Donie Jennings (Tanner) on December 25, 1945, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Mary was honored to be a member of Cherokee Nation. She earned her GED and furthered her education at Bacone College and became a nurse. Mary was a natural in the nursing field as she had a care giver spirit. She regularly attended the Assembly of God Church in Chelsea, Oklahoma. She enjoyed visiting with people at the Senior Citizen Center in Chelsea, Oklahoma, and her favorite pastime was playing Bingo at the casinos. Mary always kept her family and friends near her heart.
Mary is proceeded in death by her parents Luther Jennings Sr. and Donie Jennings (Tanner), by her baby boy, John Blue ‘JB’; brother Wilma Dorman; sister, Bobby Jennings (Jenks)
Mary is survived by: Lee & Connie Jennings of Locust Grove, Shirley Allman of Texas, Sharolyn & Dennis Hahn of Davis, Oklahoma, Lillie & Kevin Kite of Chelsea, Oklahoma, Luther Jennings Jr (Chooch) of Jay, Oklahoma, Linda Sixkiller of Afton, Oklahoma, and a host of many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews
