Mary Sullivan

March 6, 1935 — November 30, 2013

Mary Ann Sullivan of Nowata went home to be with the Lord on Saturday November 30th 2013. She was born on March 6, 1935 near Sallisaw Oklahoma. She married the love of her life Bob on May 3, 1952 and much of their early married life was in the Sand Springs and Prattville area. Together they raised 2 children, Ron and Kathy. They also lived in Osage County and in 1988 they moved to Nowata. Mary loved and devoted her life to family and home. She was of Baptist faith and was proud of her Cherokee Indian heritage. Her lifelong enjoyments were sewing and working in her flower beds. Through the years she worked to support youth groups of 4-H clubs and Future Farmers of America. She is survived by her loving husband Bob at home, and daughter Kathy Blue and husband Paul Blue of Camillus New York; a granddaughter, Brandi Murcko and husband Chris Murcko and great granddaughter Ruby Murcko of Roanoke Rapids North Carolina; a brother Frank Walker of Pearl Mississippi and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Jessie Stanley, 2 sisters and one brother. Her dear son Ron Sullivan passed away in 2009 Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel in Nowata with Dr. Larry G. DeLay officiating. Interment will follow at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
