Matthew North

Matthew Ryan North, 34 year old Grove resident, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 20, 2021.  Matt was born in Grove, OK on November 30, 1986 to Tom and Patricia (Sharp) North.  He graduated from Grove High School in 2005 and attended NEO college studying in Criminal Justice.  He worked for Delaware County as a K-9 narcotics officer.  He was a member of the 13th District Task Force as well as being trained in Counter Terrorism and Surveillance.  Most recently, he served the Bernice Police Department.  Matt taught firearms and concealed and carry courses.  He was also a Master Mason and an ordained minister.  Matt loved the Lord and his family.  He enjoyed hunting, traveling, cookouts, scuba diving, shooting, and riding motorcycles.

Survivors include his mother, Pat North, fiancé Jaymie Randall, son Joseph North, daughter Kimber North, brother in law Randy Beal, niece and nephew Tehlar and Wrangler Beal.  He is preceded in death by his father Tom North and sister Abby Beal.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Grace Harbor Church with Pastor Marty Hughes officiating.  Masks are suggested.  Interment will follow at Olympus North Cemetery
