Maxine L. Nicely, 85, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2006 in Vinita. She was born on November 25, 1920 in Ketchum, to John and Rose (Smith) Stephenson. She was married to Lloyd D. Nicely on September 7, 1944 in Pryor, OK. Together they built and managed motels in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas and New Mexico. She loved flowers and all things pink. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990 and her parents, two sisters and four brothers. Survivors include her son Dick Nicely and Betty of Big Cabin a daughter Sue Ann Nicely of Oklahoma City, granddaughters Dena Pitts of Vinita and Jamie Franklin of Odessa, TX, great-grandchildren Cameron Willy, Blake Willy, Sierra Franklin, Phoenix Franklin and Brooklin Pitts. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, September 26 at 2:00 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita with Pastor Skip McClain officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
