Michael Elam

Michael Richard Elam passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 at his home. He was born June 18, 1960 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to William Richard and Ellen Marie Elam. Mike grew up in the Bartlesville and Ochelata area. He was a self employed tile setter. He enjoyed fishing, horse back riding and spending time with his wife and grandchildren. Mike is survived by his wife, Debbie Elam; daughters, Casey Merchant and her husband, Daniel, Miranda McConnell; son, Kenny Elam; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Davin, Payton, Chastin, Crystal, Alex and Jaden; brothers, Billie Elam and Wade Elam and his wife, Katra; sister, Shasta Parvulescu and her husband, Dumitru and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving him are friends, Tom and Berdie Whitson, Don and Donnie Whitson, James and Mary Justice, Kurt Sumpter and Pat, Mark and Echo ennis, Marion Kincaid, Dee Smith, Red and Dana Miller, Dan Dassler, Perry Breeze, Jim Crowder, Monte Kimrich, David and Pat Zoski and Gary Duffield. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services for family and close friends will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Matoaka Cemetery. Pastor Larry Miller will officiate.
