Michael Calvin Muckey, a beloved figure in the lives of many, was born on October 30, 1955, in the vibrant city of Denver, Colorado. After nearly 69 years of a life filled with hard work, adventure, and unwavering love for his family, he peacefully departed this world on September 7, 2024, in Grove, Oklahoma.
From the young age of 18, Michael dedicated himself to the oil fields, showcasing a remarkable work ethic and commitment that would become a hallmark of his character. Michael's heartfelt dedication to his family stands as his proudest accomplishment. He was a loving husband, a caring father, and a cherished friend, consistently putting the needs of those he loved above his own. Michael found joy in the simple pleasures of life. The great outdoors called to him, and he was often found camping, fishing, or exploring the mountains. His laughter echoed through the trees, and his spirit was as expansive as the sky above, filling the hearts of all who joined him on his adventures.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Lola Muckey, son Carl Padley, brother Richard Muckey, sister Kathy Jingles.
Michael is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Muckey, his children Gerald Padley of Towner North Dakota, Ralph Padley of Edgewood, New Mexico, Linda Bowers of Coffeyville, Kansas. Siblings Barbara of Denver, Colorado, Deanna of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Pamela of Burkburnett, Texas, Carolyn, Steven of Dupont, Colorado, Lois of Moriarty, New Mexico, Raymond, of Edgewood, New Mexico, as well as 10 grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
