Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK (918)253-3222 --- Mitchell Dean Earp, 51 year old lifetime Jay, OK area resident passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015. Mitchell was born on November 9, 1963 to Mitchell "Bud" Earp and Lois Marie "Boots" (Lambright) Earp. He received a master's degree from Northeastern State University and worked as a teacher and educator for many years. Mitchell loved being on the lake, cooking out and being with family. He enjoyed animals and was an avid OU football fan. Mitchell also loved to play horseshoes. He was a history buff and enjoyed writing and poetry. Mitchell is preceded by his parents, Bud and Boots Earp, one nephew James Witt and one brother in law, Jerry Witt. He is survived by; three stepdaughters, Haley Williams and husband Josh of Jay, OK, Sidney Webb and husband Scott of Tulsa, OK, and Brittany Gibe of Tulsa, OK; one brother, Darrell Earp of Owasso, OK; and five sisters, Janet Dunham and husband David of Jay, OK, Elaine Witt of Jay, OK, Paula Barnes and husband Rocky of Miami, OK, Patti Stump and husband Virgil of Jay, OK, and Rebecca Mease of Grove, OK, ex-wife Paula Earp of Jay, OK, ex wife Shelli, of Jay OK, Hudgens, Toby Buzzard, Mike Hudgens. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 17, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Bulldog Arena in Jay, OK. Brother Steve Stenzil and Pastor JR Jones will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Hermon Cemetery, Jay, OK. The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 6 - 8 pm at Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK. The family ask that donations be made in Mitchell's name to Grand Savings Bank.
