Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home of Langley. 918-782-4400 Nadene McDonald, 92 year old lifetime resident of Spavinaw, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Hillcrest Hospital in Pryor. She was born on November 4, 1924 in Spavinaw to Jeremiah and Cordellia Ann (Browning) Henson. Nadene graduated from Spavinaw High School. She married Jack McDonald on September 14, 1943 in Salina, Oklahoma, he preceded her in death on October 27, 2002. Nadene worked as a cook in several restaurants in Langley and Spavinaw, she was famous for her pies and fried chicken. She was also a huge OU fan, and loved sports of all kinds and was an all-state basketball player receiving a gold ball for her play. Nadene loved cooking, sewing, watching the price is right, but her favorite love was her family and spending time with them. Preceding her in death was her husband; parents; children, Jackie Gene McDonald and Jimmy Leon McDonald and wife Janice; grandson Jackie Shane, great-grandson Trynton Davis; siblings, Pearl, Art, Alfred, Clyde, Louis, George and Alvin Henson and Sylvia Shouse. The family includes; her children, Mary Ann Adams and husband Jim of Tulsa, Jerry "Butch" McDonald and wife Donna Jo of Nowata, Ronnie Darrell McDonald and wife Betty of Langley, Karen "Susie" Hardin and husband Russ of Tiajuana, Donna Marie Fagan of Langley; twenty grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Monday, August 14, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Langley Chapel with Chris Bacon and Everett Peace officiating. Interment will follow at the Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery in Spavinaw. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
