Nancy Coons

Nancy Jo Ann (Dawson) Coons, age 57, a lifetime resident of the Afton, OK area died Thursday May 29, 2008 in St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. She was born January 26, 1951 in Vinita, OK the daughter of F. M. Dawson and Helen V. Fanning Dawson. Jo Ann was reared and educated at Afton High School and attended beauty college. She was a homemaker and artist enjoying painting, her flower gardens, sewing and cooking for family gatherings. She leaves behind one son Jason Coons of Stockton, CA, a grandson, Robert Anthony Coons of Stockton, CA, one sister, Mary Countryman of Bernice, OK, a brother John and Debbie Dawson, and sister in law Lois Dawson both of Choteau, OK, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Kenny Dawson and Larry Dawson. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday June 2, 2008 on the family plot in Mc Laughlin Cemetery near Cleora, OK with Chaplain Bill Holcomb officiating. Visitation will be Sunday June 1, 2008 from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita.
