Nancy Layman

Luginbuel Funeral Home, Vinita, OK (918) 325-5555......Ninety one year old Vinita resident Nancy Marie (Quallate) Layman passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 in Vinita, OK. Nancy was born March 10, 1928 the daughter of Houston and Bertha (Crawford) Quallate in Grove, OK. She was raised in the Delaware County community between Grove and Jay where she attended school and church. Nancy married Richard "Bill" Layman on October 1, 1949 in Jay, OK, they moved to Vinita where they raised their family and worshiped the Lord. She was a member of the White Oak Baptist Church. Nancy will be remembered as a person who thought of others before herself.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Neawatha Gurley and brother Leonard Quallate.
Survivors include a son Terry Dale Layman of Vinita, OK; granddaughter Dee Layman of Vinita, OK; great-granddaughter Abbie Ivey of Vinita, OK; three nieces Cleta Brewer, Judy Graham and Patty Bucket.
A visitation will be held Monday, March 25, 2019 in the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 10:00 am at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Leland Bartlett officiating.
