Nora Valerie Eggert

Nora Valerie (Lengquist) Eggert went to be with the Lord July 2, 2023.  She was born at home in Riverton, KS on April 14, 1925, to Fred and Rose Lengquist.  Nora, better known as Valerie, was the youngest of 11 children.  Valerie married Lowell Eggert in April 1946, and had a good long life together until Lowell’s passing in 2017.  They both worked for Bell Telephone Company until their retirement.  Valerie & Lowell resided in Grove, OK for the last few years of their lives where they ran the Bluebird railroad with the track all around their 2-acre yard.  They enjoyed giving rides to the local school children and any others stopping by to see if they could get a ride.

Mrs. Eggert was preceded in death by her husband and all 10 siblings. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and close friends.  A graveside service will be announced at a later date.  Her ashes will be placed alongside her husbands in Lowell Cemetery in Lowell, KS.
