Olen Reed

Olen Mayes Reed was a resident of Grove, Oklahoma for the past 14 years. At the age of 80 years old, Olen went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on October 28, 2019 at 11:45 am.

Olen was born in Kansas, Oklahoma on September 23, 1939 to the late Alfred Aaron Reed and Eula Mae (McAlister) Reed.

Olen worked as a welder from 1959 to 1970 for Local 798 out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Olen and Myrtle Sue owned Reed’s Fence Company from 1970 to 1999. Since closing the fence company, he has helped his wife care for their children.

Survivors of the home are his wife, Myrtle Sue Reed; daughter, Regina Olene Reed and son Chance Gray Reed.

Graveside services will be held at the Kansas Cemetery in Kansas, Oklahoma on November 7, 2019 at 11:00 am. Lunch for the family will be at 12:00 pm at the Galilean Church in Kansas, Oklahoma.
