Opal Mae McKee Obituary Wyandotte, Ok - Opal Mae McKee, 79, departed from this life to go to her Heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 2, 2009. Opal was born on March 19, 1930 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to George and Mary Sanders Christie. Through the years, Opal devoted her life preaching, singing and testifying the Word of God to wherever the Lord called her. She was a loving wife, momma and grandma. Some of her many hobbies included fishing, gardening, and being an avid OU Sooner fan. She retired as a homemaker. Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Bill McKee, Sr. of 58 years, her parents, two sisters, two brothers and her grandson, Weston. Survivors include her daughters, Sadie McKee, Mary and her husband, Boone Pickup of Wyandotte, Sue and her husband Jack Wyatt, Jr. of Miami, OK; her sons Rick and his wife Beckie McKee of Wyandotte, Kenny and his wife, Alta McKee of Miami, OK, Bill McKee, Jr. and his fiancée Rebecca Torres of Tahlequah, OK; one brother George Christie, Jr. of Newport, Arkansas; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and many other family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., at Wayside Assembly of God Church in Wyandotte, Ok. with Reverend Don Williams officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK. Pallbearers will be Sean Corbitt, Caleb McKee, Josh McKee, Shannon McKee, Justin Wyatt, Bobby John Foreman. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Boone Pickup, Jack Wyatt and Richie Ellis.
