Patricia Hites, 65, a resident of Afton passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2006 in Afton at her home. She was born on February 18, 1941 to Syvester and Flossie Jones. She married Bill Hites November 24, 1999 at Vinita, the love of her life for nine years. Patricia was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Bernice, she enjoyed fishing, Bingo and Wheel of Fortune. Mrs. Hites graduated from high school in Galena, KS with the Class of 1960, she later attended Joplin Vo-Tech. She worked at Eaton Corp in Vinita, OK as a machine operator and was a member of the Assembly of God in Galena, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents Syvester and Flossie Jones, two sisters, and two brothers and one-step son. Survivors include three sons; Grant Forkner of Bernice, OK, Jammie Gandy of Afton, Randy Gandy and his wife Alana of Bernice, two grandsons Brandon Forkner and Jeremy Forkner, one step granddaughter Alley Dosier one step daughter Carol and Gene Quimby of Garbe, OK one Step granddaughter Aline Terry of Austin, TX and one step grandson Bill Quimby and his wife Jenifer in Yukon, two step great grandsons, Brett and Wyatt Quimby and many Nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, August 16 at 10:00 AM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita with Pastor Joedy Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Galena, KS at 12:30 PM under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita. Casketbearers Joe Wright, Charlie Reynolds, Bob Bennett, Dexter Conner, Shane Abbott, George Hunter. Honorary Casketbearers will be Shielly Wright, Ann Conners, Nancy Chambers, Argene Clanton and Troy Stanley. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
