Patricia Sirman

Patricia Sirman, 78, died unexpectedly on February 6, 2021 at home in Grove, OK.  She was born April 6, 1942, in Los Angeles California, the daughter of William Douglas and Nadine (Bates) Caperton.

Pat graduated from Riviera High School, Class of 1960, in Riviera Texas.  While attending college in Corpus Christi in the fall of 1960, she met the love of her life, William Franklin “Buddy” Sirman.  They married on December 11, 1960 and celebrated 54 years of marriage prior to Buddy’s death on January 30, 2015.  Pat and Buddy had three sons and one daughter and spent the first 26 years of their life together living in numerous locations in the US and around the world – Texas and Louisiana; St. John Newfoundland Canada; Cape Town South Africa; Aberdeen Scotland; and Stavanger Norway.  After returning to the U.S and residing in East Texas for several years, Buddy entered full time ministry as a Baptist preacher and Pat became a preacher’s wife.  A role which she filled with enthusiasm and joy.  Their life in ministry took them from East Texas to Wyoming to Mississippi and back to Wyoming.  They moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma after Buddy’s retirement to be near their daughter.  They were active members of Grace Baptist Church in Dewey, OK.  Pat moved to Grove, OK to live with her daughter Sheila in November 2020 after being diagnosed with advanced non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

In addition to her parents, Pat was predeceased by her husband of 54 years – Buddy Sirman; both of her brothers, Doyle Caperton and Dexter Caperton; grandchildren Nathan Sirman and Kathleen Nettles; and her son Christopher Sirman.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Doris (Caperton) and Jan Duke; son and daughter-in-law Sam and Caren Sirman; daughter and son-in-law Sheila (Sirman) and Joel Leach; son and daughter-in-law Doug and Liz Sirman; grandchildren Jillian McCoy, Lucas Nettles, Allison Salinas, Lydia Admire, Rachel Sirman, Isabella Sirman, Franklin Sirman, Elayne DeTorres and Vinz Jeter DeTorres; great-grandchildren Adeline Nettles, Asher Nettles, Benjamin Nettles, Tristan Sirman-Boudreaux, Helena Salinas, and Elijah Admire; and many other extended family members and loved ones.
