Patsy Berry

Patsy A. Berry, 85, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at her home in Grove. She was born on August 9, 1924 to Gilly Y. and Laura E. (Foreman) Ford. Patsy married Dean Edward Berry on August 8, 1944. She graduated from Grove High School in 1943. Patsy spent many hours doing volunteer work. She helped start the Christian Mission Thrift Store and worked with the Weavers Guild. Patsy loved doing arts and crafts at the Tribal Center in Wyandotte. She made jewelry and clothes and cracked lots of pecans. She was most proud of knowing the Lord and of her family. Survivors include her children Shirley Dean Tucker of Burlington, North Carolina, John Edward Berry, Sr. of Climax Springs, MO, Jerry Lee Berry of Humble, TX, Virginia Louise Phelps of Mount Airy, MD, Sondra Kay Cartwright of Grove, OK, Mark Lynn Berry of Jay, OK and Joe Keith Berry of Miami, OK; one sister, Geraldine Matthews of Grove; fifteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers and sisters, Orville Ford, Sally Potter, Lillie Wilhaber, Alta Bodenstein and Mildred Ford. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Church of the Shepherd in Grove. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove.
