Patsy Jean Starks 69, rural Ketchum resident passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2006 at her home. She was born on June 13, 1936 in Jay, OK to James Haskell and Olive (Stilley) Trundle. She married her husband Vern Starks on February 9, 1952. Mrs. Starks who most knew as "Nanny" was very active in the Ketchum area, she was a volunteer for the Tri County EMT for twenty plus years, a member of the Baker Church of Christ, volunteered for the grandparent reading program at the Ketchum Public Schools and had worked at the Little Warriors Daycare. Patsy's parents James and Olive Trundle and a sister Betty "Sue" Hopper preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband Vern of the home, a son Mike Starks, a daughter Kathy Caywood both of Ketchum, a daughter Debi and her husband Stan Weaver of Grove and a daughter Barbara Peper of the home, ten grandchildren Michael Starks Jr., Jennifer Hinson, Clinton Starks, Crystal Krauser, Tiffany Long, Joe Moorhead, Heather Compton, Brittany Scott, Jerod Peper and Heath Peper and eighteen Great-Grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service for Mrs. Starks on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 2:00 PM at the Baker Church of Christ East of Ketchum with Mr. Lewis Bunch officiating. The Family has ask that Memorial Contributions be made to American Cancer Society or the organization of their choice.
