Paul Ernest Nandico, Sr., 92, passed away on July 2, 2024, in Grove. Born on January 17, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, to Paul and Emma (Koca) Nandico.
Having served in the Army, Paul demonstrated selflessness and commitment to his country.
Paul's career as an engineer at AT&T was not just a job, but a testament to his ingenuity and hard work. His contributions to the field will be remembered by his colleagues.
Paul found joy in woodworking, his craftsmanship and attention to details were evident in every piece he created. He was a member of SPEBSQSA, Inc. “Barbershop Harmony Society”.
Paul is survived by his wife, Ruth (Chisholm) Nandico, of the home, his children: Mary Thomas, Alice Utter, Paul Nandico, Jr. and wife April, six grandchildren: Samuel Thomas, Charles Thomas, Mary Koedam, Sarah Thomas, Michael Utter, Jeffrey Thomas, Tabitha Spataro, Jordan Nandico, Rebekah Nandico, and three step grandchildren: Bill, Andrew and Ella Joseph; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, on July 5th at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Paul will then travel to his childhood hometown to be laid to rest in the Claredon Hills Cemetery in Claredon Hills, Illinois.
