Pearline Blevins

Pearline Mae Blevins, Grove resident, died at Integris Grove Hospital Saturday morning December 31, 2011 at the age of 84 years. She was born January 30, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri to her parents, William and Myrtle (Kinnamon) Hager. She married the love of her life, Ellis Blevins, Sr. on July 4, 1940 in Grove, OK. They had six children and celebrated almost 63 years of marriage together until Ellis's passing in March of 2003. Pearl loved crosswords, crocheting, sewing, picnicking with the kids, spending time with family, singing, going to church, she was very passionate about the Lord. She ministered at the Zena Free Holiness Church for 10 years and then became a member of the Oak Chapel Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ellis, Sr.; her daughter, Mary Lee Jones; a grandson, Cody Lee Blevins; a great-granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Christian; as well as 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. Pearl leaves many loving memories with her family, son, Ellis Blevins, Jr. and wife Robin, of Grove; daughters, Colleen Horn and husband Dick, of Grove, Ginny Fuller and husband Floyd, of Okmulgee, Violet Infield, of Norman, and Juanita Blevins and Terry Sims, of Grove; 26 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many other loving relatives. Visitation will be held 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday evening January 3, 2012 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday January 4, 2012 at the Delaware Baptist Church. Pastors Wesley Robbins and Darrin Robbins will officiate. Interment will follow at Zena Cemetery. Her grandsons will be serving as casket bearers, and her great-grandsons will be honorary casket bearers. Services are entrusted to Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home of Grove.
