Peggy Gillett

Peggy Lou Gillett, 83 year old Grove resident, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022. Peggy was born on Monkey Island on December 29, 1938, to Alva and Lola (Smith) Parker. She worked her whole career as a beautician. She was married later in life to Robert Gillett. In her younger years she enjoyed making ceramics. She also enjoyed her flower beds and her many cats.

Peggy is survived by her 2 brother-in-laws, 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 son-in-law, 1 daughter-in-law, 3 nieces, 5 nephews and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and husband.

Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Grove and Grand Lake for her love for cats.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Hickory Grove Cemetery with Pastor Thomas Hawkins officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com
