Luginbuel Funeral Home - Vinita - 918-256-5555 Phillip Michael Mayfield, Sr., 64 year old Big Cabin resident, died Friday, June 13, 2014. Phil was born in Caruthersville, MO on February 25, 1950 to Oscar "Buddy" and Alene (Fennell) Mayfield. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam. On April 3, 1990 he was united in marriage to Alice Bader. Phil loved to bowl, fish, watch NASCAR, the St. Louis Cardinals, Duck Dynasty, and John Wayne, was a great mechanic, and loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife Alice of the home, children: Melissa Conatser and husband E. B. Jr. of Bells, TN, Christopher Mayfield of Bells, TN, Cathy Morris and husband Darrell of Spavinaw, Jeff McClelland and wife Donna of Ash Grove, MO, Danny Spiegel and wife Lydia of Vinita, OK, Phillip Mayfield, Jr. of Big Cabin, and Oscar "Buddy" Mayfield of Big Cabin, siblings: Steve Mayfield and wife Carolyn of Skiatook, and Sandy Walters and husband Brian of Collinsville, 13 Grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Charlotte Ward Mayfield, and grandson Michael Lee McClelland. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, June 19 2014 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Jimmy Hughart officiating. Interment and military rites will follow at Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery.
