Rachel Miller

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261. Rachel Elaine Miller, 90, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at St. Mary Healthcare Center in Lafayette, IN. She was born in Bassett, VA on January 12, 1928, the daughter of John Martin and Doris Martin. She was a graduate of Bob Jones University. On August 15, 1950, in Bassett, VA she married S. Leon Miller of York, PA. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1999. Rachel was very involved with Community Baptist Church of Arvada, CO and Circle Drive Baptist Church of Colorado Springs, CO where her husband served as a minister. Leon and Rachel relocated to Grove, OK, where they were both active members of the Cleora Baptist Church of Afton, OK where Leon served as minister and music director. Rachel is survived by her sister Bonnie (Jack) Trevillian, two children; Joy (Kenneth) Rhodes of Lafayette, IN and Leon (Regina) Miller of Arvada, CO; Grandchildren: Steve (Ashley) Devoe of Frankfort, IN, Ashley (Gus) Cordes of Lafayette, IN, Jacob (Autumn) Devoe of Corydon, IN, Chisum Devoe of Webb City, MO, Chadd (Katie) Devoe stationed in Schofield Barracks Hawaii, S. Leon (Chantini) Miller Jr of Commerce City, CO, Brandy Miller of Arvada, CO and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, her husband Rev. S. Leon Miller and her great grandson Austin Devoe. Services: Visitation will be Monday February 26, 2018 from 9:30am to 11:00 am with services directly following at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. Burial will follow services at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Grove, Oklahoma. Memorial contributions to: Cleora Baptist Church of Afton, Oklahoma.
