Ralph William Rogers, 74 year-old Jay resident, died Friday, October 20, 2006 at St. John's Regional Medical Center. He was born Friday, March 11, 1932 in Omaha, Arkansas to Roy and Carmie (Youngblood) Rogers. He was a veteran of the United States Army and worked for the Army Corps of Engineers for over thirty years. After retirement he worked as a used car salesman and Poultry Grower. Preceding him in death are his parents Roy and Carmie Rogers Brothers Coy and Ray Rogers. Survivors include his wife Pat Rogers of the home, his Step Daughters Shelley King of Topsy, OK and Brenda Phillingane of Petersburg, VA, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren, three sisters Drushane Buzzard of Eucha, Fern Stogsdill of Grove and June Rogers of Siloam Springs, AR. The funeral service will be held Monday, October 23, 2006, at 2:00 PM at Topsy Church, with Reverend Clint Cornelius officiating. Interment will follow in the Mose-Ridge Cemetery near Topsy. Visitation will be at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday, October 22, 2006.
