Ramona Tinsley

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261 Ramona Roberts Tinsley age, 89 died on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Grove Nursing Center. Ramona was born on November 20, 1924 in Hominy, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Ed and Grace Roberts. She graduated from Jay High School in 1944. Ramona was united in marriage to John Tinsley from Norman, Oklahoma on December 21, 1946 in Columbus, Kansas. John was a construction superintendent and built their home in Hickory Grove. Ramona and John had one son; Mark L. Tinsley. John preceded Ramona in death in 1978. After his passing Ramona worked as a private nurse for the department of human services. Ramona was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFRW #8380 and the American Legion Auxiliary #183. Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, two brothers Aud Roberts and Holland Roberts. Ramona is survived by her son Mark L. Tinsley and his wife Kim, one grandson Johnny Tinsley and his wife Christina, and five nieces; Donna Hale and her husband Blaine, Janie Hollecker and husband Wayne, Faye Salkil and husband Jack and Diane McBroom and husband Charles and Beverly Kahn. Ramona is also survived by her longtime friend and companion John Nicholson. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 2014 also at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Ramona will be laid to rest in the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma.
