Funeral services for Raymond Frederick Stoll are 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the First Church of God in Nowata with Pastor Wendell Abbott officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Lenapah. Family will be receiving friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, September 1, 2017 at Benjamin Funeral Service. Raymond Frederick Stoll, 88, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Jane Phillips Nowata Health Center in Nowata, Oklahoma. He was born July 23, 1929 in Ashtabula, Ohio to Frederick Milton and Hazel Amanda (Barton) Stoll. Ray received his Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University in 1963. He served in the United States Army from June 10, 1953 to July 1, 1975. Ray's last overseas tour of duty was in Vietnam where he earned a Bronze Star for his service. He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer working as a polygraph examiner. After retirement Ray was the County Clerk for Green Lake County in Wisconsin. Ray was married to Elaine Lois Mitchell in 1949 and she passed away in 2004. On July 17, 2007 he married Sherry Lynn Price in Eureka Springs, Arkansas in a private ceremony. On December 29, 2007, they repeated their vows for family and friends in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Ray was a Master Mason and was a member of the Oklahoma City Lodge 36, Perpetual member Sunset Lodge 57 in Nowata. He was also a member of the York Rite Perpetual in Oklahoma City, York Rite College-KYCH, York Rite Cryptic Masons, Scottish Rite Guthrie, India Shrine, Oklahoma City, Eastern Star Past Patron Sunrise 22, Life Member of Sunshine Court #26 of Nowata Order of Amaranth, Past Grand Royal Patron of Oklahoma, Past Watchman of Shepherds, Order of White Shrine of Jerusalem Bethel #3, Nowata, Tulsa Shrine, and National Sojourner Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. Ray was an ordained priest in the Old Catholic Church Order last serving in an Oklahoma City Church. He was also an avid Frankoma collector. He was one of the founders and the first president of the Frankoma Family Collector's Association. He was very good friends of the Frankoma Family and the Frank Family. He also collected elephants. Ray had a wonderful personality and was an instant friend to anyone he met. He loved meeting people and would talk to anyone. Ray was a very kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him. Raymond is survived by his wife Sherry of the home; five children, George Stoll of Lisle, Illinois, Marianne Bolen and husband Steven of Bonbeul, Wisconsin, Joe Stoll and wife Sue of Fond du lac, Wisconsin, Russell Stoll and wife Debbie of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tom Stoll and wife Kathy of West Bend, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Maureen Bronson and her husband Matt, Sean Fitzgerald, Lisa Stoll, Scott Stoll, Eric Stoll, Zachary Stoll, Matthew Stoll, Nancy Stewart and her husband Mike; nieces, Susan Margaret Cole of Waltersburg, Pennsylvania, Helen Rae Tarrantino of Canfield, Ohio and six great-grandchildren. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Hazel Stoll; his wife, Elaine Stoll; siblings, Margaret Stoll and Helen Elizabeth Stoll.
