Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261 Richard Jackson, 81 year old resident of Grove, Oklahoma was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 31, 2017. Richard was born on September 10, 1935 in Bone Holler near Turkey Ford. He was the son of Bill and Sarah (Willhite) Jackson. When Richard found out that they didn't serve lunches at school after the sixth grade, he decided to go to work at the saw mill with his father. Richard worked many years for the Caterpillar Cooperation as their land manager. He ran heavy equipment, was a mechanic, did construction on their cabins and docks, and made sure that he kept the crappie population in check. For that last several years, Richard was a mighty servant for the Lord, and was the pastor of the Zena Bible Church. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Sarah Jackson, his wife of 52 years Carolyn Sue (Lewis) Jackson, two brothers Christopher Jackson and Sherman Jackson, and baby sister Phyllis Jackson. Left here to miss his dearly is his wife Dorena (Black) Jackson, his five children; Carol Burger, Rick Jackson, Rita Tucker and her husband Jim, Tim Jackson and his wife Tanya and Robert Jackson all of Grove, Oklahoma, three step-daughters Delta Jackson of Big Cabin, Tonya Reeves and husband Sam and Danielle Goddard and husband Larry of Miami, Oklahoma. Richard was blessed with twenty grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Richard also will be dearly missed by his brother Larry Jackson and his wife Cathy, his sister June Husong and her husband George and his sister Dorcus Brewer. Richard had numerous loving nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Delaware Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Bishop officiating. Richard will be laid to rest in the Zena Cemetery.
