Rita Mcdonald

Rita Jean McDonald, 88-year-old resident of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on March 7, 2022.

Rita was born on February 10, 1934, in Independence, Kansas.  She was the loving daughter of Herman and Roxie Celestia (Seller) Daniel.  She was united in marriage to John Allan McDonald in August of 1989. Rita enjoyed going shopping, reading, watching old movies and comedy shows, but mainly she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Dennis Daniel, her sister, Shirley Daniel, and a granddaughter Amber Beamer.  She is survived by her three children: Candy Breen and husband Bill of Chicago, IL, Patti Beamer of Grove, OK, and Robert Hillyard and wife Holly of Towanda, IL.  Rita was blessed with five grandchildren: Amanda Breen, Cara Beamer, Meghan Mucciante, Cydney Hopkins, Dustin Hillyard and one great grandchild, Briar Hopkins.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-4 Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, OK.  Graveside services are scheduled for 10 am, Monday, March 14, 2022, at Hickory Grove Cemetery with Pastor Tom Hawkins officiating.
