Robert Jones

Robert Warren Jones, 69 year old Eucha resident, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 after a 4 year long battle with cancer. Warren was born in Vinita on July 14, 1944 to Raymond and Bethel (Hancock) Jones. He graduated from Pryor High School in 1962. In August of 1962 he joined the United States Air Force serving until 1966. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Walta Kidwell, on September 9, 1967. Warren was a man of good humor who adored time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Langley as well as a Mason. He was an avid OU football fan and also enjoyed fishing, going to Branson, and working on the Spring Valley Ranch where he resided. Survivors include his loving wife Walta of the home, son Sam Jones and wife Stacy of Eucha, grandchildren: Keara Jones of Spavinaw and Evan Jones and wife Whitney of Pryor, two great grandchildren: Addie Grace Beggs and Finley Scarlett Jones, two sisters: Wilma Olson and husband Marvin of Chanute, KS and Wanda Morgan and husband Jack of Neosho, MO, two brothers: Windell Jones and wife Gloria of Chouteau, OK and Wallace Jones and wife Eleana of South Padre Island, TX, as well as a host of numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Spring Valley Ranch with pastors Leon Shade and Scott Neighbors officiating. Interment will follow at Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery.
