Robert Waldo Klein was born to Blanche T. and Charles C Klein on October 19, 1922 in Tulsa, Oklahoma; he died September 4, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife Frankie and her two boys, Ried and David Stewart of Kansas City, MO. Also surviving is a brother Hugh E. Klein of Concord, MA and a sister Beverly K. Patterson and husband, Sid W. Patterson of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Robert graduated Tulsa Central High School, class of 1940. He attended OU where he was a member of Delta Upsilon. He enlisted in the US Army and was in the weather service for three years then worked for Murdock Tank Company before starting his own building career. He built many custom homes, commercial building and various housing developments in Tulsa and on Monkey Island at Grand Lake before retiring in 1000. Robert was an avid golfer and won North Dakota amateur championship in 1952. He won the Southern Hills Country Club Men's Golf Championship ten times in five decades. He also was State runner-up in Oklahoma Armature Championship three times. Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Oklahoma.
