Robert Delmont Barton Nigh (D.B., also known as Bob), age 90, passed away in the Jane Phillips Medical Center on Saturday November 10, 2007. Mr. Nigh was born in rural Bluejacket, Oklahoma, on October 9, 1917, to John William Robert (Bob) ad Eva Judith (Mitchell) Nigh. He received his education in the Craig County, Oklahoma schools. Mr. Nigh farmed and raised Shorthorn cattle before moving to Bartlesville in 1951 to be employed by National Zinc. He retired from National Zinc in 1982. He was united in marriage on April 6, 1955, to Mae L. Metcalf in Osage County, Oklahoma. He attended the Wesleyan Holiness Alliance Church in Oglesby. Mr. Nigh is survived by his wife, Mae L. (Metcalf) Nigh, a favorite daughter, Carol Shaw, a favorite son-in-law, Rev. Roger Shaw, and a favorite granddaughter, Bethany Shaw, all of Hamilton, Ohio. He also is survived by two brothers, Gale Nigh of Bluejacket, Oklahoma, and Gene Nigh of Lebanon, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and five brothers. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 13 at 10:00 AM in The Colonial Chapel of the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma with the Rev. Thomas L. Wade, Rev. Charlie Cunningham and the Rev. Donald Hazelwood officiating. Burial will be in the White Rose Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Pallbearers are - Bob Nigh, Clinton Nigh, Doug Nigh, Ronnie Nigh, Daniel Cunningham and David Hazelwood. Honorary Pallbearers are John Harrison, Charles Herndon and Kevin Ickleberry.
