Robert Schroeder

Robert James Schroeder (Sarge), 77, of Grove, Oklahoma died Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Integris Grove General Hospital. He was born May 13, 1930 in Dennison, Iowa and married Cheryl Ronn at Bella Vista, Arkansas on February 7, 1998. He served 21 years in the U.S. Army and was stationed in occupied Germany, Korea and two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a lifelong member of VFW Post 3031. Robert worked for Cooper Communities of Bella Vista, Arkansas and then for Bella Vista POA as their Street Department Superintendent for many years. He retired in 2006. Survivors include his wife Cheryl of the home, brother Donald Schroeder of Sun City, Arizona, children: Mary, Paula and Bob, Jr. of Wisconsin, Lea Ann of Gravette, Arkansas, stepsons: Craig Johnson of Neosho, Missouri and Chad Johnson of Bella Vista, Arkansas.
