Robert Hugh Walker, 62, of Nowata passed away April 21, 2014 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. He was born April 26, 1951 in Nowata to Willie Hugh and Viola (Warfield) Walker. Robert married Doris Annette Berry in Claremore on May 25, 1978. They spent 35 happy married years together. Robert worked in the oil field and construction industry. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He loved to coach little league sports and watching his grandchildren play in their sporting events. An avid OU fan, would watch all the OU sports on television. He learned to do Indian bead work and enjoyed making Indian crafts. Above all he loved his wife of 35 years, children, and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him. Robert is survived by his wife Doris of the home; his mother, Viola Walker of San Antonio, TX; four children, Cornelius Austin and wife Samantha of Joplin, MO, Jason Berry and wife Chrissy of Tahlequah, Micah Walker and wife Brianne of Nowata, Shaylene Walker of Nowata, and numerous other adopted children; six siblings, Michael Walker, Ivan Walker, Deborah Vaughn, Karen Matthews, Phillip Walker, Ireatha Ford, twenty grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Willie Walker, and a sister, Sheri Walker.
