Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, (918) 256 - 5555 ------- Sammy Ray Bradley, 63 year old Big Cabin resident, passed away Monday, April 27, 2015 in Tulsa. He was born on August 23, 1951 in Chelsea to A. Ray and Rosa (Moss) Bradley. He served his country in the United States Army from 1971 to 1977. Sammy married Carolyn Frances Ladd on October 13, 1979 in Broken Arrow. Sammy worked as a mechanic for several years, including at Clanton's Truck Stop, Cherokee Truck Stop, Thiessen Tire, He also worked as a Truck Driver and for a while in the oil fields. He loved being a mechanic, doing things outdoors, fishing, working in his yard, and cutting wood. Preceding him in death were his parents, brother Ricky Bradley and wife Judy, son in-law, Raymond Payne, grandson, Glenn Dale Godsey, II; mother in-law, Lila Hicks Ladd. The family includes; his wife Carolyn Frances (Ladd) Bradley of the home, daughter, Frances Deann Shoemaker of Foyil, a son Lee Harmon and wife Christie of Batesville, Arkansas; sister, Shirley Vanderpool of Big Cabin, brother Roy Bradley and wife Jeanne of Big Cabin; seven grandchildren, Brandy Parkhill and husband Joey, Kristine Godsey, Shannen Godsey and wife Amanda, Dakota Shoemaker, Tahkodah Harmon, Bayleigh Harmon and Joshua Harmon; great-grandchildren, Sydney Hull, Levi Parkhill, Drake Parkhill, Jacob Parkhill, Abigail Parkhill and Kaiden Godsey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and many friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home. The funeral will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 10:00 AM, at the Assembly of God Church in Chelsea. Interment will follow at the Military Cemetery near Pensacola.
