Samuel Joseph Hosfelt, 65 year old resident of Grove, Oklahoma passed away on August 8, 2021 at Integris Grove Hospital.
Samuel was born on June 1, 1956, in Parsons, Kansas to Burket Everett and Cleda (Barnett) Hosfelt. Samuel proudly served in the United States Army. He earned his Associates Degree from Independence Community College. He worked as a mechanical technician for Simmons Industries. Samuel was an avid fisherman, winning multiple angler competitions. He also enjoyed hunting and was a true outdoorsman. He was member of the National Wildlife Federation Outdoors Hunters and Anglers, North American Fishing Club, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and, The Disabled Veterans’ National Foundation
Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother John Hosfelt. He is survived by his three children: Sarah Hosfelt, Missy Lowry and Noelle French, his siblings: Linda Austin, Rhonda Hosfelt-McDaniel, Beck Cherry and Doug Hosfelt. Samuel was blessed with ten grandchildren: Caitlin Sallee, Conner Sallee, Blaize Bearden, Krim Bearden, Bailee Hosfelt, Jacob Grzybowski, Kamo Lowry, Shooter Lowry, Shantel French, and Sean Block and four great grandchildren: Rockee Hosfelt, Naomi Morris, Wesley Morris and Finn Morris.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10-11AM, Friday, August 27, 2021 with Memorial services starting at 11 AM at Potts Funeral Home in Cherryvale, Kansas. Potts Funeral Home is located at 403 Clark St, Cherryvale, KS 67335. Arrangements under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
