Sandra Hill

Grove, OK - Sandra Jane Hill, 61, died late Saturday night, May 6, 2006 at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, Missouri. Sandra was born December 14, 1944 at Miami, Oklahoma to Mary (Thomas) Champlin. She grew up in Miami and graduated high school, there. She moved from Miami to Joplin, Missouri, before moving to Grove, Oklahoma in 1991. Sandra received her LPN training at Franklin Technology Center, Joplin, Missouri and worked as a nurse at Integris Grove General Hospital for 12 years until her health forced her retirement. She married Carl Hill on November 10, 1993 at Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sandra enjoyed oil painting and growing flowers in her yard. Survivors are her husband, Carl, of the home; two sons, Darin Robinson of Kansas City, Missouri and Brent Shellman and his wife, Yvonne of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two step-daughters, Schelby Walker and her husband, Eric of Grove and Candy Winfrey and her husband, Randy of Bluejacket, Oklahoma; one step-son, Doyle Hill and his wife, Marilyn of Grove and ten grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary; by a son, Jerry Buchanan and a brother, Tom Champlin. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel, Grove, with interment in Hickory Grove Cemetery, North of Grove, under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on the preceding Tuesday evening, 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
