Grove, Ok Shirley Ann Hoffman died September 19, 2006 at the Integris Grove General Hospital in Grove. She was 70 years old. Shirley was born June 28, 1936 to Augusta "Gus" and Alice (Flatness) Hobbs in Havre, Mt. She married Russ Hoffman in 1960 in Montana. Russ and Shirley moved to Arizona and made their home there until 1977, when they moved to Moore, Oklahoma. They lived there until 1985, when they moved to Hickory Meadows in Grove, Oklahoma. Shirley made many close friends in Grove and actively participated in the community. She served on the water board for more than eighteen years. Shirley could be described as a football fanatic, and looked forward every fall to watching her favorite teams. She loved the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs. Shirley knew more about football than most men. Shirley despised the Dallas Cowboys. Shirley was also very involved in the lives of each of her six grandchildren. She took every opportunity to encourage the grandchildren to follow their dreams. Shirley was a great wife to Russ for more than forty-six years, a wonderful mother and grandmother, and a true friend. She will be missed by her husband Russ, of the home, her two children, son Fred Hoffman and wife Donna of Moore OK, daughter Katherine K. Cudjo and husband John of Mesquite, TX, siblings Eileen Halverson of Missoula Montana, Bonnie Dyrdahl of Sunburst, Montana, and Phillip Gaudet of Chinook, Montana, her six grandchildren, her two great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, September 22, 2006 at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Chapel, Grove, OK. Visitation will be 6- 8:00 pm Thursday at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home.
