Shirley Morgan

Shirley Jean Morgan Shirley Jean Morgan, of Jay, died at her home Thursday July 6, 2006. She was 69. Shirley was born January 5, 1937, in Pueblo, Colorado to Raymond and Pearl (Phillips) Tanner. Shirley spent her working life as a homemaker and a mother to nine children. She married Melvin Morgan on November 5, 1952 in Zena, OK. They spent the next fifty three years married to one another. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2005. Shirley was a member of the Delaware Baptist Church, and demonstrated her love of children as a Sunday school teacher. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Dry (Homer) of Jay, OK; son, Kenney Morgan (Pricela) of Jay, OK; daughter Pam Teague (Jim) of Jay, OK; daughter Irene Snow (Wes) of Arkansas City, KS; son Anthony Morgan (Leah) of Jay, OK; son Barry Moulton Morgan (Beth) of Jay, Oklahoma; daughter Cyndi Threlkeld (Buddy) of Grove, OK. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday, July 10, 2006 at the Delaware Baptist Church. Reverend Gary Bishop will officiate. Interment will take place at the Zena Cemetery in Zena, Ok. Family will receive friends between the hours of 5pm and 7pm Sunday, July 9, at the Funeral Home in Jay. Services are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay.
