Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma 918-253-3222. Sondra Kaye (Harris) Moore, 54, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 23, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Sondra was born on November 16, 1962 in McAlester, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Dan and Billie Jean (Whiting) Harris-LeFlore. Sondra graduated from McAlester High School in 1981. She then attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, where she earned her Masters Degree in Education in 1988. Sondra taught for over 31 years in both Crowder Public School and Jay Public Schools. She was very active in her faith, and was member of the First Baptist Church of Jay. Sondra was a loving and dedicated mother and was passionately involved in all of her children's activities. Sondra was a warrior in her battle against cancer, and was very involved in support groups, but she was more about living as well as possible, coping, acceptance, gentle positivity and drawing on the love and support from those that were closest to her. Sondra was preceded in death by her parents Dan Harris and Billie Jean LeFlore of McAlester and step father Lynn LeFlore of McAlester. She leaves behind to miss her dearly; her son Ty Moore and his wife Meredith of Joplin, Missouri, her daughter Kaci Moore of Stillwater, Oklahoma, her brother Bill Harris of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, sister in-law; Earlene Harris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, niece Amanda Harris of Oklahoma City, OK and nephew Johnny Easttom and his wife Karla of Edmond, Oklahoma, step brother Lynn LeFlore, Jr. of Camas Washington and step sister; Cheryl Nelson of Norman, Oklahoma, two aunts; Debbie Holuby and her husband Ronald of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Kay Collier of Crowder, Oklahoma, four uncles; Dennis Harris and wife Shirley of Hartshorne, Oklahoma, Bobby Harris and his wife Janice of McAlester, Dave Harris and his wife Linda of McAlester, Oklahoma and Doyle Harris and his wife Lisa of Red Oak, Texas. Sondra will be missed by numerous cousins, other relatives and friends. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 pm, Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Jay. Services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Bulldog Arena in Jay, Oklahoma. Sondra will be laid to rest in her home town of McAlester, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held at 3PM at the Memory Garden Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in Sondra's name to the "Sondra Moore Memorial Fund" at any Arvest Bank location.
