June 27, 1948 — October 20, 2014

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral home, Grove, OK 918-786-2261 ---Stanley A. Miller, age 66, died on October 21, 2014 in Grove, Oklahoma. Stanley was born on June 27, 1948 in Iola, Kansas to father Samuel A. Miller and mother Freda Del Miller. Stanley was preceded in death by his father in 1985 and mother in 2000, and a twin brother Steven A. Miller in 2005. After graduating Iola high school in 1967, Stanley attended and graduated from Vernon's school of cosmetology in Wichita, Kansas and received license to practice in 1968. Then in May of 1968 Stanley entered the US Air Force. He spent a year at Whiteman AFB in Missouri, then a year in Viet Nam and then some time in Germany. Becoming disabled due to Viet Nam, Stanley received an honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1972. After returning for five years Stanley moved to Rogers Arkansas in 1977 for the next 29 years. Stanley worked and retired from Daisy MFG. Stanley had invested in real estate and in 2006 moved to Grove, Oklahoma. He lived on Grand Lake of the Cherokees until his death. Stanley also had the privilege of going to a banquet with President William J. Clinton and his wife Hillary when he was Governor of Arkansas. Stanley also wrote locally for the John Kerry Presidential campaign in 2004. Stanley loved to cook, wrote and published two books, and was accomplished in paiting and wood sculpture. He loved dogs and traveling. His travels included Hawaii, Europe, Hong Kong, Alaska and the Caribbean. In Scotland, Stanley was made an honorary Scotsman at the Kingston Mansion House, Edinburgh Scotland. He told the Sccots a joke about why you shouldn't drink whisky. Talk about guts ! Stanley's greatest joys were being able to experience and know God's love and to know that God blessed him everyday. To share with people and see them happy, and spoiling his dogs, fishing and living on Grand Lake. From Stan: Do something nice for someone everyday, even if it's just opening the door or checking on an elderly neighbor who's alone. Do something good for someone everyday is easy.
