Stanley Sharp

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK 74346-918-253-3222. Stanley Sharp, 88 year old resident of Eucha, OK, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Integris Grove Hospital. Stanley was born on January 29, 1929 in Delaware County, Oklahoma. He was the son of Lewis and Lucy (Cheater) Sharp. Stanley proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for Cherokee Nation Environmental Health for twelve years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, crawdad hunting and spending time and playing with his grandchildren. Stanley was a member of the Hillside Baptist Church. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, two children Dola Ray Sharp and Johnny Sharp, one granddaughter, Cherrissa Summerfield, one brother Archie Sharp and one sister Gladys Hilderbrand. He is survived by his wife Suzanne of the home, Louise Creekkiller and husband Willie of Jay, Michael Sharp and his wife Gwenda of Eucha, OK, Sandra Sharp-Summerfield and husband Robert, Howard Sharp of Eucha, Tracey Ann Martin and husband Jim of Eucha, OK, OK, Davy Sharp and wife Mary Strong City, KS, Lavonnie Sharp and her husband Jackson of Eucha, OK, Gena Barnwell and her husband Heath of Jay, OK., two step children Diane Warrren of Disney, OK and Leann Long of Maysville, AR. Stanley will be truly missed by his three brothers Thomas Sharp, Charlie Sharp and Martin Sharp all of Jay, OK and one sister Nancy Letonsa of Portland, OR. Stanley was blessed with seventeen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, and a host of great-great grandchildren, and many numerous relatives and friends. Services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, April 17, 2017 at Hillside Baptist Church in Zena, Oklahoma. Stanley will be laid to rest in the Hillside Cemetery.
